95 PERCENT ORGANIC
Essene’s produce manager, Mike, works diligently to make sure that Essene has the best organic produce possible. He and Essene are committed to having 95 percent of the produce on display be organic. We also shoot for fresh macrobiotic ingredients such as lotus fruit and burdock–and we pride ourselves on our selection of unusual greens.
Our chief supplier of organic produce is Paradise Organics in Lancaster. During the growing season, much of our produce will come from the farm in Lancaster. As a result, when you buy our produce you’re supporting both local and organic.
